Heaptalk, Jakarta—The Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas) held a governor’s coordination meeting (Rakorgub) to discuss the alignment of the National Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPN) 2025-2045 and the Regional Long Term Development Plan (RPJPD) 2025-2045 on Tuesday (04/02).
The agenda also included strengthening the foundations of transformation in the National Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2025-2029 and the Government Work Plan (RKP) 2025. This meeting also discussed the progress and challenges of regional development and strategic development solutions in the corridor for resolving fundamental issues, such as poverty, stunting, and essential services and infrastructure.
Minister of National Development Planning Suharso Monoarfa said that over the last few years, the Ministry has held meetings with governors, and most of the requests from regional heads were for physical hard infrastructure. “We noted two things in our journey up to two years ago for basic services, in this case, the provision of clean water for drinking water and roads. In the RPJMN target, provincial roads should have reached 75 percent by 2024, and district/city roads should have reached 65 percent. However, it is still far from that figure,” explained Suharso.
To achieve the Golden Indonesia Vision 2045, the government has formulated 20 Super Priority Transformative Efforts (UTSP), the main pillars in the country’s transformation towards prosperity and sustainable progress. Supported by the RPJPN and RPJPD alignment, strategic steps to strengthen the foundations of transformation have been planned to overcome fundamental development issues through social, economic, and governance transformations.
In more detail, social transformation is the main focus in the initial stages of Golden Indonesia 2045, emphasizing improving primary health, education, and social protection services. Concrete steps include accelerating 13 years of compulsory schooling, ending stunting, and investing in primary health services. Economic transformation focuses on increasing research and technology budgets towards industrial commercialization, superior natural resource-based industrialization, industrial downstream, just energy transition, and accelerating digital transformation. Governance transformation focuses on strengthening the rule of law, stability, and leadership to become a solid foundation for the country’s progress. Reform of the prosecution system, fiscal planning, and socio-cultural resilience are integral to efforts to achieve a Golden Indonesia 2045.
“This may be the last Rakorgub in Jakarta. We hope the upcoming Rakorgub will be held in the Nusantara Capital. A hotel was also built there. Hence, maybe next year we will meet at that hotel,” concluded Suharso.
Also present as speakers at this meeting were Maluku Regional Secretary Sadali Ie and Acting Governor of Papua Mountains Velix Vernando Wanggai, Acting Governor of West Sulawesi Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, Acting Governor of Bangka Belitung Safrizal Zakaria Ali, Acting Governor of West Kalimantan Harrison Azroi, and Acting Governor of East Nusa Tenggara Ayodhia Kalake.
