“People’s enthusiasm towards hajj savings in Bank Muamalat is tremendous. This can be seen through the growth of new registration numbers which enhanced by 123% yoy in Q1 2024.”

Heaptalk, Jakarta — A pioneer of Sharia bank in Indonesia, Bank Muamalat eyes a 15% growth of Hajj savings in 2024. To embody this target, the bank has applied several strategies, such as launching latest product variations and built new collaboration.

“Through this strategy, we are optimistic to grow our hajj savings performance by 15% yoy,” stated SEVP Retail Banking of Bank Muamalat Dedy Suryadi Dharmawan.

As cited in its official release, Bank Muamalat has prepared savings for hajj registration planning and hajj cost repayment, for example is providing a saving by using two currencies, Rupiah and Dollar. Moreover, the bank also will launch a bundling package which contains saving and bancassurance product.

Regarding the hajj planning product, Bank Muamalat created iB Hijrah Haji which can be accessed online through the bank’s app DIN in Open Account feature. Payment of the initial deposit for Hajj can also be conducted by opening a Hajj Pilgrimage Savings Account (RTJH) through Bank Haji feature. As of March 2024, the number of customers who opened RTJH through Muamalat DIN attained 8,000 people.

In terms of collaboration, Bank Mualamat reportedly has cooperated with multiple educational institutions, such as schools and universities as hajj saving acquisition aggregator and provide them with special packages.

Employing #Hajianakhebat campaign (means: hajj for cool children), the bank also drives people to plan hajj as early as possible. According to the company. this program aligns with Haji Muda (Young Hajj) movement which was initiated by Hajj Financial Management Agencies (BPKH) who are Controlling Shareholder (PSP) of Bank Muamalat.

Young Hajj movement is coined to invite young generation to start their hajj planning earlier, thus young people can carry out hajj when they are still in a good physical condition.

Implementing these strategies, Dedy stated, “People’s enthusiasm towards hajj savings in Bank Muamalat is tremendous. This can be seen through the growth of new registration numbers which enhanced by 123% yoy in Q1 2024.”
