Through cooperation, Bank Mandiri has channeled the credit service of Rp3,09 trillion, devoted to more than 227,000 MSMEs.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — PT Bank Mandiri Tbk announced its cooperation with Indonesia’s fishery startup PT Rantai Pasok Teknologi (FishLog) to boost an accessible credit service for Indonesia’s MSMEs, particularly in the fishery industry.
In this strategic cooperation, Bank Mandiri will channel a credit service to MSMEs under the FishLog startup ecosystem, with a targeted credit value of US$3.2 million, approximately Rp50 billion, and is estimated to uplift along with the further progress of this collaboration.
“Through this collaboration, Bank Mandiri will increase financing access for MSME players in the fisheries sector, specifically for FishLog’s partners, both those who are bankable and unreachable by conventional banking,” Bank Mandiri’s SVP SME Banking, Alexander Dippo said in a statement.
This banking company has disbursed a credit service for MSMEs digitally up to Rp973.2 billion year-to-date (YTD) to more than 115,000 debtors. This achievement is part of steps to strengthen credit distribution through collaboration with various P2P Lending digital and fintech companies in Indonesia. As a result, through cooperation with fintech companies, Bank Mandiri has channeled the credit service of Rp3,09 trillion, devoted to more than 227,000 MSMEs.
Meanwhile, President Director of FishLog, Bayu Mukti Anggara revealed, “This collaboration will open up opportunities and access to financing at 45 FishLog operating points in Indonesia. In line with the company’s mission to bolster inclusive digital financial access, we are confident about collaborating with Bank Mandiri to continue improving financing services and supporting the businesses of our MSME partners,”
As additional information, FishLog is an enabler ecosystem in the fisheries supply chain that digitizes cold storage and connects suppliers with buyers. Since being founded in 2020, this startup has built a network throughout Indonesia, reaching 700 partners spread across more than 30 regions in Indonesia. The company has also partnered with over 50 cold storage partners and unlocked financing access of over US$2.3 million (around Rp36.5 billion) from financial institutions collaborating with FishLog, which the OJK supervises.
