Heaptalk, Jakarta — AWS has unveiled Amazon Q, a family of AI-powered assistants designed to expedite software development and harness companies’ internal data. This launch includes two unique AI-powered assistants, Q Developer and Q Business, tailored to the specific needs of developers and business professionals.
Q Developer assists developers and IT professionals (IT pros) with tasks ranging from coding, testing, and upgrading applications to troubleshooting, performing security scanning and fixes, and optimizing AWS resources.
Meanwhile, Q Business can answer questions, provide summaries, generate content, and securely complete tasks based on data and information in enterprise systems. This AI assistant empowers employees to be more creative, data-driven, efficient, prepared, and productive.
Boosting employee productivity by 80%
Vice President of AI and Data at AWS, Dr. Swami Sivasubramanian, emphasized that Amazon Q is the most powerful generative AI-powered assistant available today. It boasts industry-leading accuracy, advanced agent capabilities, and best-in-class security. This AI-powered assistant will enhance developer productivity and enable business users to expedite decision-making.
“Since we announced the service at re:Invent, we have been amazed at the productivity gains developers and business users have seen. Early indications signal Amazon Q could help our customers’ employees become more than 80% more productive at their jobs; and with the new features we’re planning on introducing in the future, we think this will only continue to grow,” said Sivasubramanian in a written statement.
Further, AWS will also introduce Q Apps as a new capability of Q Business. Q Apps will allow employees to build generative AI-powered apps from their company’s data without coding experience. Employees only need to describe the type of app they want in natural language. Then, Q Apps swiftly generates an app that accomplishes their desired task, helping them streamline and automate their daily work easily and efficiently.
