Heaptalk, Jakarta — Si.Se.Sa, an Indonesian Muslim fashion brand, held its 2024 Annual Fashion Show, showcasing its latest collection, including sportswear for young Muslim women.

This sportswear was introduced alongside the new Blue Line, complementing the existing Orange and Violet lines. Si.Se.Sa. Sport offers sportswear for Muslim womsen that can also be worn for leisure, designed to remain modest and not form-fitting.

Adopting the theme “Blossom with Hope: Bloom with Purpose, Shine with Hope,” the annual fashion show occurred at the Ritz Carlton Ballroom Pacific Place in South Jakarta (11/06). Si.Se.Sa., Sharia Muslim fashion brand was founded in 2011 by three sisters, daughters of designer Merry Pramono: Siriz Tentani, Senaz Nasansia, and Sansa Enandera.

The Blue Line is aimed at a younger audience. It features modern and simple designs with shorter hijabs, like scarves and pashminas, appealing to women new to wearing the hijab. This line includes minimalist designs with a girly touch. The latest collections in the Orange and Violet Lines are inspired by the beauty of nature in Japan, featuring Japanese-inspired motifs like cherry blossoms, the great wave, and Fuji Shibazakura, each carrying symbolic meaning.

“There are 151 pieces in total, our largest collection so far. We have divided it into three lines: Blue, Orange, and Violet. Si.Se.Sa. Blue is different since it’s our first launching a younger, more modern, simple collection. It includes khimars, scarves, and pashminas, which can be styled Sharia due to their large size. The Si.Se.Sa. Blue Line is for young people who love styling hijabs or are new to wearing them,” explained Sansa Enandera at the press conference in South Jakarta (11/06).

Senaz Nasansia added, “Our ‘Blossom of Hope’ theme is inspired by Japan, known for its cherry blossoms. This flower represents a sense of hope eagerly awaited by the Japanese people after winter. Through this collection, we want to convey a message that there is always hope in life, especially for women, as Si.Se.Sa. is a brand for Sharia Muslim fashion.”

This annual collection showcases a variety of materials. The Blue and Sport Lines use cotton, jersey, and UV-resistant and dry-fit fabrics. Premium materials such as crepe, brocade, and tulle are typically used in the brand’s Sharia collections. A-line and two-piece silhouettes dominate this new collection, with accents like ribbons, pleats, and hand-made prints.

The 151-piece collection presented this year offers a varied color palette, from monochrome to pastels to bright, vibrant colors. In addition to introducing new prints and embellishments, this collection also features French Khimar styles in various styles and sizes.

At the 2024 Annual Fashion Show, the brand brought on celebrity Muses and Brand Ambassadors, including couples Cut Meyriska and Roger, Fairuz and Sonny, Kimberly Ryder, and Paula Verhoeven. “We always offer something new. There’s a fresh concept, and our muses represent strong females, embodying this year’s theme of ‘blossom with hope: bloom with purpose, shine with hope,’” concluded Siriz Tentani.
