Heaptalk, Tangerang — The annual Apkasi Otonomi Expo (AOE) 2025 will relocate from the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) to the International Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD in Tangerang. In addition to the venue change, the event dates have also been shifted from the initially planned July 10-12 to August 28-30, 2025.

Sarman Simanjorang, Executive Director of Apkasi, revealed two key considerations behind this decision. First, alignment with the organization’s packed agenda, including the National Deliberation and Apkasi’s 25th Anniversary in North Minahasa this July. Second, providing regional governments more time to prepare budgets through APBD (Regional Budget) revisions.

“We intentionally adjusted the schedule to ensure all regencies can participate optimally,” Sarman explained.

Advantages of the New Venue

The choice of ICE BSD as the host venue is no coincidence. The location previously successfully hosted Apkasi’s XV National Working Meeting and AOE 2023. Key advantages include:

Flagship Programs and Public Services

AOE 2025 will feature various innovations, including:

Apkasi remains open to considering alternative venues for future events, including Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK). “Our principle is simple: facilities must be adequate, and participant experience is the priority,” Sarman emphasized.

Registered participants are requested to adjust to the new schedule, while registration remains open for those yet to join. With thorough preparations, AOE 2025 is expected to serve as a strategic platform for accelerating regional development through optimal utilization of regional autonomy.
