Accenture: Generative AI will boost the company’s strategy in the five years

The Accenture report reveals 99% of Indonesia’s executives agree that the development of generative AI will play a role in the company’s strategy in the next three to five years.

Heaptalk, Jakarta — Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology that continues to increase, coupled with the presence of ChatGPT, is claimed to deliver business to a newer future with increasingly unified physical and digital worlds.

The latest Accenture Technology Vision 2023 report entitled “When Atoms Meet Bits: The Foundation of Our Reality” discloses several technological trends that underlie the convergence of the physical and digital worlds amidst the increasing companies’ plan to transform their businesses process with AI utilization.

The report has shown that around 100% of Indonesia’s executives agree their organizations need a more systematic way of responsibly and ethically managing emerging technologies. Moreover, the presence of ChatGPT has demonstrated its capabilities, like human working abilities.

As disclosed in the report, around 99% of Indonesia’s executives agree that the development of generative AI has created a new ecosystem for companies, specifically in playing a role in their strategy in the next three to five years. Concurrently, around 99% of executives agree that software and services powered by an AI basic model will significantly enhance innovation and creativity in their organizations over the next three to five years.

The Country Managing Director of Accenture Indonesia, Jayant Bhargava, admitted, “These findings reinforce our belief in the critical role of generative AI as a foundational element of digital transformation. As more businesses realize the potential of this technology, they also increasingly need our help in various areas, including optimizing AI applications, improving the quality and skills of their workforce, and finding responsible ways to deal with risks and challenges in using this technology.

The latest Accenture Technology Vision 2023 report also reveals multiple trends that have been generated along with the rising artificial intelligence technology, including:

  • Digital identity.

Around 98% of Indonesian executives agree that digital identity is no longer just a technical issue; it is becoming a strategic business imperative for their organizations. This report explained this trend will be at the core of the next wave of business disruption fueled by digital-physical convergence. Accenture also observed the future potential of enterprises to innovate will depend on today’s identity efforts as the business strategy.

  • Data transparency

The report output revealed that 94% of executives in Indonesia agree that data transparency is becoming a competitive differentiator for their organizations. This consulting company claimed AI technology could only reach its full potential if companies make the most of data. In this context, companies are required to break down data silos and modernize their data foundations.

  • Generative AI

Around 95% of Indonesian executives are inspired by the new capabilities offered by AI foundation models. Playing the role of co-pilot, about 99% of executives agree that generative AI will foster creativity and innovation. In addition, about 98% of respondents were amazed by the unprecedented pace of AI innovation.

  • Our forever frontier

This trend is a trade-off between science and technology that is accelerating by accelerating one another. The report reveals that 100% of Indonesian executives believe the trend will be the primary driving force for multiple breakthroughs in the industry in the next decade.

“We believe this trend can encourage companies to innovate in producing new products, services, and business models. Adoption and utilization of AI will enhance Indonesia’s digital economy and increase our competitiveness,” concluded Jayant.
