Heaptalk, Jakarta — TikTok Indonesia introduced three cross-generational content creators—representing the Baby Boomer, Millennial, and Gen X generations—to share their experiences utilizing the platform (09/13).
The three cross-generational content creators include Captain Hanafi Herlim (@hanafiherlim), Ayen Boentoro (@ayenboentoro), and Tjokro Wimantara (@asahpolapikir). The event was organized as a talk show titled SerunyadiTikTok: Cross-generational creators share valuable experiences on TikTok.
Pioneering in aviation contents

Captain Hanafi Herlim, often called Capt. Hans, represents the Baby Boomer generation with over 40 years of experience as a pilot. This 65-year-old content creator first gained widespread recognition with a video of his final flight in April 2022. The farewell video, recorded by a colleague during a flight from Jakarta to Denpasar, was made as a keepsake for his children and grandchildren. Unexpectedly, the video garnered over 2 million views in less than 24 hours.
Capt. Hans is the pioneer behind content concepts related to the aviation industry. After developing the concept, his two sons assist with filming, video editing, and scriptwriting. Through TikTok, he provides educational content for those interested in a career as a pilot and for aviation enthusiasts—a topic rarely covered by other content creators. Currently, Captain Hanafi has over 90,000 followers and has accumulated more than 2.9 million likes on TikTok.
“Honestly, I am self-taught in this. There are no difficulties since I am used to speaking on the plane during boarding. If there are any issues or deviations, I must communicate them to all passengers. I am used to it. I also worked as a radio announcer for 3 months in 2002,” said Captain Hanafi in South Jakarta (09/13).
Live broadcast on health, nutrition

Ayen Boentoro, whose real name is Liminah Tarto, represents the Millennial generation and shares information on health, nutrition, and exercise. The 54-year-old, who graduated in Food Science from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), regularly creates short videos and live broadcasts every morning. Ayen currently has over 150,000 followers and more than 750,000 likes.
In her first month of posting content on TikTok, one of Ayen’s videos about diet and eating habits made it to the For You Page (FYP) and has been viewed over 600,000 times. This video also increased her follower count to over 1,000 users. Additionally, Ayen handles all content creation, filming, and editing independently.
Ayen shared, “Initially, I had notes, not a schedule or dates, but topics. One topic, for example about sugar, is broken down into smaller discussions. Beyond that, I don’t have a strict plan because sometimes working alone, especially as a woman, is very dependent on mood. Sometimes it’s up and down. But what I try to do is focus on what resonates with me or what raises many questions or difficulties for people.”
Spreading business and marketing educational contents

Meanwhile, Tjokro Wimantara, often called Pak Win, represents Gen X and focuses on sharing business and marketing educational content since April 2020. Pak Win consistently presents various business case studies through entertaining role-play style content. His educational content won the Best of Learning and Education award at the TikTok Awards Indonesia 2020.
As a graduate of Tsinghua University, Pak Win has explored careers in diverse industries, including engineering, banking, and gaming. He decided to venture into business, starting several enterprises, including in gaming, call centers, F&B, and advertising. One of his startups was listed in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 in 2018.
“My initial content ideas came from my own business experiences in 2020. Now it’s a mix of my own experiences, family, relatives, friends, and followers. They often consult me about the chronology of issues they experience. When I feel that something can be a learning opportunity for others, I turn it into a story,” Pak Win concluded.
