A survey: Samsung and Google Pixel are the most preferred AI smartphones

The survey also found that 66.70% of respondents are still considering paying more, depending on the AI features offered by the smartphone manufacturers.

Heaptalk, Jakarta — Reasense, the research division of Seqara Communications, revealed that Samsung (29.00%) and Google Pixel (27.50%) are the smartphones with the best AI features, followed by Apple (20.30%) and Oppo (18.80%).

Another finding shows that 18.80% of consumers are willing to pay more for a more advanced AI smartphone. However, 66.70% of respondents stated that they are still considering paying more, depending on the AI features offered by the smartphone manufacturers.

Aryo Meidianto A., Smartphone Market Analyst & Senior Consultant at Seqara Communications, explained, “This survey shows that Indonesian consumers are increasingly aware of the potential of AI technology in a smartphone. They want smartphones to assist with daily activities, such as optimizing performance, increasing efficiency, and personalizing the user experience.”

Held in July 2024, this quick survey involved more than 100 respondents representing consumers in various cities in Indonesia through a smartphone user community. This survey provides an initial overview of Indonesian consumers’ preferences for AI smartphones. With the development of AI technology and increasing public education, the adoption of AI smartphones is expected to become more widespread in Indonesia in the coming years.
