Winning an award takes a lot of hard work. So feel free to be proud and brag a little, but remember to stay humble. Follow these tips to write an award winning press release:

1. Create a Standout Headline

Just like any other type of press release, an awards press release needs to have a great headline. Include the brand name, award name and category in the headline.

For example: (your brand) has won a (award name) as the best (category) > Exquisite has won a beauty award as the best green beauty brand.

2. Play to Your Strengths

If your brand wins an award, it is because your brand does something much better than the others. This is what made you stand out and was chosen by the judges as the winner.

It could be your operational strategy, your team or the customer experience you delivered. Some brands won because they were able to anticipate needs that even customers hadn’t realised. Some others won because of their unique evolution. Share this in your release and you will fulfil the journalists’ desire to educate the industry.

3. Describe Your Company

Immediately after mentioning your strengths, describe a little about your business. This will give the audience a deeper understanding of your business. They may be interested not only in your award-winning product, but also in your other products and/or services. This is a great opportunity to expand your market. So do not miss it!

4. Add Your Experience

Feel free to add a few lines about your experience. Focus on why you started this business and your business experience from the beginning to getting here and winning the award for your business.

As an expression of gratitude, you can also mention that one employee (probably the manager or co-founder) who has helped you through thick and thin on your brand journey. This will be an inspiring part of the story that touches the audience’s heart and makes them want to learn more about your products and/or services.

After exploring, they will eventually make a purchase. They may also tell their friends and family about your story. So more people will know about your brand. Be ready for many more orders!

5. Add a Powerful Quote

To stay in the audience’s mind a little longer, add a powerful quote at the end of your press release. As a short form of writing, this quote will also be shareable on social media. More shares mean more exposure for your brand.

Winning an award is a great opportunity to send an engaging and newsworthy press release to media partners. Create a release that inspires and educates your industry. Now that you have won an award, be ready to be a market leader, stay humble and keep improving your quality!
