Heaptalk, Jakarta — Vietnamese automaker VinFast debuts in Indonesia by launching its first series of right-hand drive electric vehicles at IIMS 2024. There are several models on display from the A-SUV to E-SUV segments, namely VF 5, VF e34, VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9.
According to VinFast Indonesia CEO Tran Quốc Huy, the VF 5, VF e34, VF 6, and VF 7 models, which are part of the A to C segments, are the first electric vehicle models launched in Indonesia.
“Indonesia is the first country for VinFast to introduce right-hand drive electric vehicles, which illustrates VinFast’s advanced manufacturing capabilities and its determination to develop electric vehicles and bring environmentally friendly transportation to all markets,” voiced Tran Quốc Huy at IIMS 2024 in JIExpo (02/15).
Regarding charging facilities, VinFast will partner with local suppliers to build a national network of charging stations. This plan is expected to facilitate electric mobility for users in the country. In this way, the adaptation of sustainable transportation in the Indonesian market can be significantly improved.
Offering flexible sales and after-sales policies
Tran Quốc Huy conveyed, “It is an honor for VinFast to be able to participate in IIMS 2024 and introduce smart and environmentally friendly vehicles. Our presence aims to empower Indonesian consumers with a variety of choices for greener and more sustainable mobility.”
Further, he is optimistic that the electric mobility platform that has been developed by VinFast will make EVs more accessible to all customers. He said, “We want this to be a momentum for Indonesia’s transition towards environmentally friendly energy.” For this reason, the automaker offers flexible sales and after-sales policies to provide access to green and sustainable transportation for all customers.
Previously, VinFast had announced the construction of a local EV manufacturing factory in Indonesia with a projected capacity of 50,000 cars per year. The company hopes that the plan can create thousands of jobs and contribute to the development of the domestic EV industry. Once operational, the factory will also be a key link in VinFast’s global EV supply chain. (Translated by Sinta)
