Heaptalk, Jakarta — UD trucks Indonesia organized a seminar which adopts theme ‘Optimizing The Compatibility and Quality of The Truck Body With Truck Chassis To Increase Driving Safety’ on Wednesday (07/24).
Organized in UD Trucks’s booth in GIIAS, this agenda is expected to explore more critical aspects in optimizing the compatibility and quality of truck body with the truck chassis, which is considered as an important issue in the manufacturing and carrosserie industry in Indonesia.
One of the speakers, Ahmad Wildan, stated, “Driving safety is a top priority in the logistics industry, by ensuring compatibility and quality between the truck body and chassis, we can reduce the risk of accidents and keep drivers and the public safe.”
Catur Satyawira, UD Trucks’s representative, during the agenda explained that UD Trucks is committed to educating bodybuilders and prioritize standardization of body manufacturing in accordance with applicable regulations. The company also provides regular information about the latest safety technology features on UD Trucks through the Bodywork Training & Audit program for ensuring the highest standards in vehicle performance and safety.
According to the Ministry of Transportation’s data in 2023, as many as 3,500 accidents involved commercial vehicles, contributing significantly to the number of accidents in Indonesia. This seminar provides solutions to the challenges faced by emphasizing the importance of high safety standards in the design and construction of truck bodies and chassis. This is useful for reducing the risk of accidents and increasing road safety.
In addition, the Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (H.I.R.A) philosophy from KNKT will be an important part of this discussion. H.I.R.A. emphasizes early identification of potential hazards and comprehensive risk assessment to develop effective mitigation strategies, which is particularly relevant in the context of commercial vehicle safety.
This seminar involved 14 Indonesian car body companies who are committed to improving the safety and performance of commercial vehicles. After the seminar, certificates of participation were handed over to representatives of the 14 participating car body companies, as recognition of their commitment to safety and excellence in vehicle body construction.
