Heaptalk, Jakarta — Peruri, a state-owned high-security technology company, has introduced e-Polis to support digital transformation in the insurance sector. This electronic policy is regulated by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Regulation Number 23/POJK.05/2015.
The launch of e-Polis is claimed to improve efficiency and security in issuing and verifying insurance policy documents. This step is a testament to Peruri’s commitment to continuous innovation to meet the industry’s needs in the digital era.
Budi Herawan, Chairman of the Indonesian General Insurance Association (AAUI), appreciated the introduction of e-Polis to enhance efficiency and guarantee the authenticity of policies through digitalization. “Entering the digital era, we can minimize issues often occurring in the insurance process. Technology in digitalization is key to increasing efficiency,” Budi said in a written statement.
Strengthening role as authenticity guarantor
According to Farah Fitria Rahmayanti, Director of Digital Business at Peruri, e-Polis is expected to strengthen Peruri’s role as an authenticity guarantor of various vital documents in Indonesia, which have now transformed into a digital business. “We ensure that every e-Polis issued has forensic features with layered security that prevent counterfeiting attempts and provide confidence for all parties involved,” Farah said during an e-Polis literacy seminar organized by AAUI.
Patria Susantosa, Acting Deputy for Digital Procurement Transformation at the National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP), emphasized the importance of digital transformation in various sectors, including procurement. He stated, “Procurement must be transformed to improve efficiency and transparency. LKPP supports the digitalization initiative in the procurement process, including for surety bonds, job guarantees, and the issuance of other documents electronically.”
Founded in 1971, Peruri has transformed its business from security printing to a high-security technology company offering technology for guaranteeing authenticity and digital product authentication. At the end of 2023, the government appointed Peruri to manage Indonesia’s Government Technology (GovTech) program, named Ina Digital.
