Heaptalk, Jakarta — Pakuwon Mall Bekasi officially opened on Friday (11/22) as the latest mall by PT Pakuwon Jati, through its subsidiary PT Grama Pramesi Siddhi. Located in Pekayon Raya, South Bekasi, West Java, the mall offers a unique lifestyle experience, entertainment, and one-stop shopping, targeting families, professionals, millennials, and Gen Z.

Built on a 3.8-hectare plot of land, the mall recorded a 95% occupancy rate on its opening day. More than 250 tenants have filled the mall, including Korean fashion brands such as MLB, Acme de la Vie, Aland, and Harlan+Holden Coffee. The Playtopia amusement park even presents three types of attractions, including a playground, arcade, and adventure.

“We believe that the presence of Pakuwon Mall Bekasi will make Bekasi a very modern and attractive city for the local residents to visit. So I think that malls in Bekasi will not only attract people from Bekasi but also people from outside Bekasi. This will help boost the local economy and increase income for Bekasi residents,” stated Stefanus Ridwan, President Director of Pakuwon Jati, at a press conference after the inauguration of Pakuwon Mall Bekasi on (11/22).

This newly opened mall offers essential facilities such as grocery needs at Aeon supermarket, cinemas at XXI, and a variety of lifestyle, food & beverage, beauty, toy, service, and entertainment tenants. According to Ivy Wong, Director of Business Development at Pakuwon Group, Aeon is currently leading as the mall’s main attraction, as it opened its store earlier on November 15. However, she is optimistic that other tenants will soon follow and become favorites among visitors.

“I believe that the main attraction won’t just be one tenant. But the synergy of all the tenants will build loyal customers for Pakuwon Mall Bekasi. That’s what’s important. Each tenant has its own uniqueness, character, and hard work that will help attract people to this mall,” emphasized Ivy.

Rika Yuanita, General Manager of the mall, explained that the mall features an adventure zone on the second floor, including indoor wall climbing and an air coaster. Visitors can also enjoy an amphitheater-style seating area, complete with a performance stage for various entertainment activities.

Other facilities include a nursery room and a grand indoor mosque. Rika commented, “We pay close attention to the needs of all visitors at Pakuwon Mall Bekasi. We also have a very large mosque on the P3 floor and two smaller prayer rooms on the second floor and P1 floor.”

The mall is located in the Pakuwon City Bekasi superblock, which is integrated with the Pakuwon Residences Bekasi and international chain hotels Fairfield by Marriott and Four Points by Sheraton. Apartments will also be built in this superblock, consisting of four towers: Amor, Bella, Dolce, and Vita, with a total of 2,646 units. “With the presence of Pakuwon City Bekasi in Bekasi City, we hope it will not only be a shopping center but also a hub for activities and a community space that can be enjoyed by everyone,” Rika concluded.
