Heaptalk, Jakarta — The resignation of the Head of the Authority does not affect investors who have invested in Nusantara Capital or IKN, including Pakuwon Jati, who remains committed to investing there.
Alexander Stefanus Ridwan Suhendra, President Director of Pakuwon Jati (PWON), stated that Bambang and Dhony’s resignations would not disrupt the continuity of PWON’s investment projects in IKN. “We are running the business as usual,” said Ridwan.
According to him, the appointment of Minister of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono as Acting Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority is considered appropriate. Basuki is trusted to be able to expedite coordination between investors and the government.
“The recent replacement is not a big deal for me, especially with Basuki taking over. He is experienced with projects, and since PUPR is responsible for building most toll roads there, coordination might improve. Therefore, there will be no issues,” he concluded.
Ridwan explained that through its subsidiary, PT Pakuwon Nusantara Abadi (PNA), PWON will build a mall and hotel as part of the Pakuwon Nusantara superblock project. Construction is planned to begin in early 2024 and is expected to be completed by 2025.
The first phase of the Pakuwon Nusantara project includes the Four Points Hotel and part of the mall. The investment value for the superblock project in IKN is expected to reach Rp5 trillion, approximately US$307.3 million (US$1 equals Rp16,272). This superblock will be built in the central government core area.
