Heaptalk, Jakarta — Indonesia’s electric vehicle (EVs) industry continues to rise significantly. As cited from the Indonesia Automotive Manufactures Association (GAIKINDO) data, the national EVs sales attained 23,045 as of January to August 2024 or enhanced by 177% yoy.

Seizing this opportunity, Mazda, through its official distributor PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia (EMI), introduces its first electric car, Mazda MX30, in Indonesia (11/10).

“We design Mazda MX-30 not only as an electric car but also as society’s partner in carrying out their daily activities. Adopting the Jinba-Ittai philosophy, which prioritizes unity between driver and vehicle, and KODO look with minimalist and elegant design, every detail of Mazda MX-30 is crafted thoroughly to make the journey feel more personal. When the vehicle is used more frequently, you can truly feel the uniqueness and comfortability, as if it becomes part of the driver,” stated Ricky Thio, COO of PT EMI.

MX-30 is considered a perfect partner for urban people who carry out their mobility in the city. The electric crossover is claimed to travel 200 km on a single charge. Equipped with e-SkyActiv battery with 35.5 kWh, the charging time from 20% to 80 can be done only in 25 minutes. Mazda MX-30 features fast charging port CCS2.

“We carried out test drive. If I live in Kelapa Gading, drive from my house to my office, I charge the car, then I move to another place, then when I am back, I charge it again. Thus, trip planner is a must for using this car,” conveyed Thio as cited in detikOto.

Regarding the interior, MX-30 is supported by Mazda Connect with a 10.25-inch Mazda Connect Display. This electric car also has 12 Bose premium speakers installed. The electric motor employed is claimed to attain 145 PS at 4,500 to 11,000 rpm and a torque of 271 Nm at 0 to 3,243 rpm.

Mazda MX-30 also features Electronic G-Vectoring Control Plus (e-GVC Plus) to ensure stability while driving by adjusting torque to make turning easy. The paddle also provides seamless and responsive control.

Presenting these advanced technology and comfort, the Mazda MX-30 is priced at Rp860 million. Every purchase includes a free wall charger and portable charger. Specifically, for premium color, there is another charge worth Rp 4,000,000.

Mazda also has released multiple color variants for Mazda MX-30, spanning:

1. Soul Red Crystal Metallic with Black Side Panels and Roof (Premium Colour)

2. Zircon Sand Metallic with Black Side Panels and Roof

3. Ceramic Metallic with Black Side Panels and Roof
