Heaptalk, Jakarta — Krom Bank Indonesia, a subsidiary of Kredivo Group, has introduced the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) payment feature on the Krom app, as reported by IDX Channel (07/02).
Customers only need to scan a QR code using the Krom app to make transactions. This new feature is expected to provide Krom Bank customers with more transaction options as well as free interbank transfers and e-wallet top-ups. With QRIS, customers can swiftyly, securely, and conveniently conduct transactions directly through their phones at over 30 million merchants across Indonesia.
The trend of digital transactions is rapidly growing in Indonesia. Krom Bank is committed to continuously strengthening its digital banking services through various innovations. “This step aligns with that commitment and is also our response to the increasingly popular trend of using QRIS payment methods among the public,” stated Anton Hermawan, President Director of Krom Bank Indonesia, as cited by IDX Channel (07/02).
Bank Indonesia reported that QRIS transactions in April 2024 saw a significant increase of 175.44% year-on-year (yoy), with the number of QRIS users continuously growing to reach 48.12 million users. The company views this trend as an opportunity to innovate and introduce features that meet customer needs in the digital era.
