Heaptalk, Jakarta — Juragan 99 Trans has received recognition from the Indonesian World Records Museum (Muri) as the first bus company to operate double-decker buses equipped with full sleeper seat facilities.
Jusuf Ngadri, Muri’s Director of Operations, handed over the award for the first bus operator with full sleeper double-decker buses in Indonesia to Gilang Widya Pramana, founder of Juragan 99 Trans, at the Juragan 99 Trans bus pool in Pondok Pinang, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (09/10).
“We are grateful for the trust that the Indonesian World Records Museum has placed in Juragan 99 Trans. We hope this achievement will inspire us to continue innovating in order to gain the trust of our customers. This award is truly dedicated to all of our loyal customers. Last month, we just celebrated our 6th anniversary. It’s a young age for a bus company, but we have been able to survive and keep pushing forward thanks to our customers,” said Gilang.
“The Juragan 99 Trans full sleeper double-decker bus has 24 seats and serves the intercity-interprovincial (AKAP) route between Jakarta and Malang (round trip) daily. This is a tangible step in our commitment to always offering the best for Juragan 99 Trans customers. We hope that our effort to make all AKAP bus journeys in Indonesia equipped with sleeper seats will soon become a reality,” Gilang added.

Jusuf Ngadri, Muri’s Director of Operations, remarked, “The key to maintaining and excelling in an achievement is consistency in adapting and striving for the best. Juragan 99 Trans has demonstrated this through its ongoing innovations to provide excellent service to its customers. Congratulations on achieving the Muri award as the first bus company to operate double-decker buses with full sleeper seat facilities. May this serve as motivation for both Juragan 99 Trans and other bus companies in Indonesia to advance the land transportation industry in the country.”
“Currently, Juragan 99 Trans operates a total of 30 AKAP and tourism buses, with 2 serving the Malang–Denpasar route, 8 on the Malang–Tangerang (Poris) route, 4 on the Malang–Bogor route, 2 on the Malang–Yogyakarta route, and 1 reserved for AKAP. Passengers can book tickets for all Juragan 99 Trans routes through the Juragan 99 Trans app,” concluded Gilang.
