Heaptalk, Jakarta — BTPN-backed digital bank Jenius drives the digital young generation to always create creative innovation through the Think Unthinkable campaign.
In this campaign, Jenius invites several Jenius friends to share their inspirative stories and encourage the digital savvy society to have an out of the box mindset that is creative and innovative.
According to Jenius, this camoaign is in accordance with Jenius’ milestone that has succeeded in disrupting the traditional banks system by presenting various digital services to facilitate citizens.
On Wednesday (31/01) in Jakarta, Irwan Tisnabudi the Digital Banking Head of BTPN Bank stated in his press conference, “Jenius is aware that in life we are often trapped with an unconscious systematic mindset that limits oneself. To uphold a society filled with digital savvy off of that mindset, Jenius calls for an early encouragement for the Think Unthinkable in developing a life finance concept. A mindset to do something different and a better iteration are our goals to create innovation.”
Founded in 2016, Jenius has created a breakthrough in the banking world by creating a feature to open an account instantly through application without the need to come to the branch office.
On its debut, the pioneer of Indonesian digital banking has also established a $Cashtag feature to make users easy to conduct money transfer by name without having to memorize the long account number.
Not stopping to be innovative, Jenius has also established a Foreign Currency feature that makes it easier for users to attain services such as selling, buying, receiving, and sending foreign currency. This feature has also been developed with the support and insight from the Jenius co-creator which results in the availability of 9 foreign currencies in Jenius; USD, SGD, AUD, HKD, GBP, JPY, EUR, THB, and CNY.
To conclude 2023, Jenius Credit Card received a warm welcome from the digital savvy community. One of the features presented is to manage limits according to user needs and allows Jenius friends to exchange credit card points online and real-time directly through the application for travel needs or e-wallet balance.
“The spirit of Think Unthinkable is a self-reflection after more than 7 years being present as a life finance solution in Indonesia, also as a way for Jenius’ commitment in presenting innovation and changes that become relevant for the digital savvy community in the future,” Irwan said.
Through this campaign, Jenius also presents a Jenius friend, Marvin Sulistio, to share his stories. The traveler and content creator stated, “After 11 years of being a news anchor, I decided to resign and become a full time traveler. Even though the trips are not always easy, a no longer stable income every month, but it turns out a better way always exists and I can live my life the way I want it to be.”
A similar statement also came from Puty Puar, the illustrator and founder of Buibu Baca Buku club. “Having the courage to make unthinkable decisions starts with a small step that gradually becomes bigger. As a Geology graduate and years working in the oil drilling location, I slowly followed what my heart longs for to switch carriers and become an illustrator up until these days. The unthinkable journey didn’t stop there, since 2018 I have braced myself to make a reading community for mothers. Unexpectedly, said decision led the book club to become one of the NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) that contributes for climate literacy. From that journey, I am proud to say that we shouldn’t be hesitant to live the life that we wanted,” explained Puty.
Not wanting to be left behind, Maureen Hitipeuw, the founder of Single Moms Indonesia community shared her version of the Think Unthinkable journey, “After divorcing, there has been a time where I hit my lowest. However, my family keeps on supporting me to face that fear and encourage me to start something new. By creating a Single Moms Indonesia community, I have met a lot of women who have similar experience as mine. Through this community we shared our experiences and supported one another to overcome sadness and to have a better life quality.”
