Heaptalk, Jakarta — Following its success in Bandung, Herd Coffee Roaster has introduced Sumthin’ Else from Herd in Jakarta. Through its coffee experience bar, Sumthin’ Else in Jakarta aims to offer a more intimate coffee experience, allowing customers to focus on savoring the flavor of coffee with every sip of their drink.

“After its success in Bandung, Sumthin’ Else has arrived in Jakarta in collaboration with Indonesia’s largest camera store, DOSS, to deliver a unique coffee experience. Sumthin’ Else is located within the Kala Askara coffee shop inside the DOSS store. More than just a coffee shop, Sumthin’ Else offers a more exclusive multisensory experience with various options for customers from all walks of life. Customers can enjoy a more intimate coffee experience with interactive coffee brewing at the coffee bar or savor exceptional Herd coffee while chatting in the café-style seating at Kala Askara,” said Jeffta Handoko, a representative of Sumthin’ Else from Herd, in a press release on Friday (03/07) in Jakarta.

According to Jeffta, Sumthin’ Else, the first coffee experience bar in Indonesia, offers a different experience than regular coffee shops focusing on speed of service and customer turnover. He added, “Here, every sip of coffee is a personalized journey with a unique touch. The coffee presentation also carries its symbolism, designed to deliver a deeper and more meaningful coffee-drinking experience.”

With a concept that differs from typical coffee shops, Sumthin’ Else offers a more personal experience with interactive coffee brewing by baristas and a variety of unique coffee mocktail options. Customers can choose their preferred coffee while receiving explanations about the origin of the coffee beans, the roasting techniques used, and the diverse flavors produced by the beans. The coffee beans served are of the highest quality, featuring the signature taste of Herd Coffee Roaster. Sumthin’ Else creates a more exclusive and immersive atmosphere for coffee lovers through these innovations.

“Sumthin’ Else at Kala Askara is the result of a collaboration with DOSS, adapting the philosophy of the relationship between a photographer and their camera to create beautiful works. This philosophy differs from the authentic experience bar at Sumthin’ Else Bandung. In Jakarta and Bandung, each location will offer unique and different customer experiences,” Jeffta concluded.
