Heaptalk, Jakarta — Technology company, DesktopIP, exhibited its made-in Indonesia’s technology solution during the implementation of the 2nd Festival of Digital Innovation (FDI) which was held at BSD City on 22 – 23 August, 2024.

Participating in this premium conference, DesktopIP aims to demonstrate Indonesia’s capability in building the national cloud infrastructure. The TechCo also intends to highlight the urgency of building the national technology ecosystem to release Indonesian dependence on foreign influence in order to achieve digital sovereignty.

CEO of DesktopIP, Phidi Soepangkat, during his speech at the 2nd FDI stated, “Many people simply associate sovereignty with a control over location. However, there are other critical aspects that often go unnoticed, such as control over data, access, costs, and technology. There are ways to achieve it, one of which is through the digital sovereignty stack”.

According to Senior Account Manager of DesktopIP, Anyi Nuranisa, FDI was organized by ICION to connect high-level executives and industry leaders to drive digital transformation in businesses while presents the latest technology implemented in the archipelago.  She voiced this conference is an appropriate moment for DesktopIP to inform the visitors about locally made Indonesian cloud.

Regarding the preparation for the event, Anyi conveyed that DesktopIP presents its cloud infrastructure technology, Jaybod, which reportedly obtains a local content requirement (TKDN) of 83%.

“We also showcase our server to prove that Indonesia is able to create its own cloud technology to support data sovereignty. We have prepared a simulation, such as free 5GB storage by downloading Jaybod,” added Anyi.

She conveyed that most visitors are surprised with the presence of Jaybod amidst the rush of foreign cloud products such as AWS, Alibaba, and more. She expects to introduce desktopIP’s solution to the public, allowing society to save their data safely under Indonesia’s authority.
