Heaptalk, Jakarta — Telkomsel has introduced its latest cable internet service package, EZnet. The low-cost internet service offered by Elon Musk’s Starlink in Indonesia has prompted local operators, including Telkomsel, to release new products at more competitive prices.

On its official website, the subsidiary of Telkom Indonesia, which serves individual consumers, launched an affordable cable internet service named EZnet. The subscription price for EZnet is set at Rp150,000 per month, and the internet speed is 10 Mbps. Thus far, only one new package has been offered.

In more detail, the internet package price of Rp150,000 per month applies to the Java and Bali regions. Meanwhile, consumers in Sumatra can enjoy the service for Rp170,000 per month, and consumers in Papua, Maluku, Sulawesi, Kalimantan, and Nusa Tenggara for Rp200,000 per month. However, this service is available in only five regions: Surakarta, Lamongan, Tangerang, Lanny Jaya, and South Tangerang.

Furthermore, the speed of EZnet is still limited to 10 Mbps. Consumers can subscribe to Indihome for home internet with higher speeds starting at 30 Mbps. “To subscribe to EZnet by Telkomsel, you must be in an area where this package is available. You can subscribe to EZnet by contacting Telkomsel sales agents or visiting the nearest GraPARI in your area,” concluded Telkomsel.
