Heaptalk, Jakarta — Citi Indonesia announced has appointed Edwin Pribadi as the Head of Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) as of May 7, 2024 (05/20). Sitting as the new Head of Citi Commercial Bank, Edwin oversees Citi’s CCB business and operations in Indonesia.

His leadership is expected to drive the CCB business strategy and financial performance while deepening client relationships. CCB, a vital component of Citi’s growth engine, offers a range of competitive products to mid-sized corporates, including cash and liquidity management, foreign exchange, trade finance, capital markets, and lending solutions.

The head of Citi Commercial Bank for Asia North, Australia, and Asia South clusters, Gunjan Kalra, admitted that Indonesia remains an important market for Citi, given its prominence within Southeast Asia and its strategic ties with other countries in the region. With the emergence of numerous mid-sized companies in Indonesia, there is a growing need for financial services that can support their regional and global expansion.

In this context, Kalra expressed confidence in Edwin’s ability to meet these needs. Kalra said, “With Edwin’s expertise and track record, he is well-placed to support our CCB clients’ ambitions while taking our Indonesia business to greater heights.”

Bringing 20 years of experience in banking

Edwin graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. On top of that, he brings over 20 years of experience in banking across different roles. For Edwin, this is a return to Citi as he started his career with the bank as a Regional Management Associate in 2003, followed by a pivotal assignment to Citigroup’s APAC Operations & Technology Leadership Development Program in Shanghai in 2006.

Over the years, he has held diverse leadership positions within Citi, including a Trade and Tax Operation Unit Head and a Commercial Banking Relationship Manager Team Leader. In 2013, he moved to OCBC Indonesia, where he served as the Business Banking Credit Program & Portfolio Management Head and later as the Enterprise Banking Business Head.

“We are delighted to announce Edwin’s return to Citi Indonesia to lead the CCB team in this dynamic market. Leveraging Edwin’s experience, we are confident he will empower CCB clients in Indonesia to pursue their growth ambitions on a global scale, and thereby align with Citi’s mission to support the Indonesian business landscape,” CEO of Citi Indonesia Batara Sianturi concluded.
