Heaptalk, Jakarta — PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) announced its collaboration with a startup providing transaction payment platforms for MSMEs, Qasir.id, to promote MSMEs growth through digital aspects (06/10).
In this partnership, BSI will facilitate the enhancement of MSMEs’ skills and access to financing. Meanwhile, Qasir.id will synergize MSMEs to gain access to Islamic banking. This collaboration will synergize 24,000 MSMEs already working with Qasir.id, enabling them to optimize their access to capital from BSI.
“The main focus of this partnership is to provide broader business support to MSME players. This step is expected to accelerate the digitalization of MSMEs and improve the operational efficiency of MSME players,” said Anton Sukarna, BSI’s Director of Sales & Distribution, in his official statement.
As of May 2024, BSI’s MSME financing grew positively, reaching Rp46.60 trillion, up 13.41% year-on-year, and supporting over 321,000 MSME customers. Anton emphasized that this collaboration is also expected to become a successful cooperation model between Islamic financial institutions and digital technology providers supporting the MSME sector.
Meanwhile, Qasir.id CEO Rachmat Anggara stated that Qasir.id’s role would be more optimal if it synergizes with stakeholders, including banks. “Through this cooperation with BSI, we agree and commit to advancing MSMEs through good, transparent, and measurable management and directly providing opportunities for access to Islamic financing,” Rachmat concluded.
