Heaptalk, Tangerang — BMW Group Indonesia officially revealed five latest BMW series to Indonesia during the implementation of Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2024.
Managing Director of BMW Group Asia Lars Nielsen, during the press conference on Wednesday (07/17), revealed that the brand-new lineup includes the BMW 520i M, BMW i5 M60, BMW XM 50e, BMW 430i Convertible, and BMW 430i Coupé.
Lars Nielsen voiced, “This year, we adopt ‘Experience the Future of Premium Mobility’ as the theme to deliver best driving experience as well as the technology. We remain very committed to bringing this to Indonesia and you are here to experience the finest line up of models with the ultimate technology”.
Through the launch of BMW 520i M, the company made an history as this premium vehicle was locally assembly in BMW Production Network 2 in Sunter, Jakarta. The launch of its EV, BMW i5 M60, also demonstrated the company’s commitment in adopting sustainability concept.
In order to offer more variation, SAV Plug-In Hybrid variant BMW XM 50e is rolled out, inspired by the combination of BMW M and BMW X. BMW 430i Convertible and BMW 430i Coupé are also introduced to complement sporty sedan segment. These five new products are equipped with BMW ConnectedDrive, thus the consumers can obtain easy connectivity, convenience, and safety.

“We are focusing on futuristic design. You will be able to experience BMW Mini ConnectedDrives and BMW and Mini ConnectedApps as well. You also can see the commitment of BMW Group to sustainability, making sure that the transportation we all have adjunct in the most responsible way,” conveyed Nielsen.
In addition to BMW, in Mini Pavilion, MINI showcased the 5th generation of MINI-3 door in conventional and full-electric combustion engine variants, MINI Coper S and MINI Cooper SE. Further, MINI also displayed three other innovations, including MINI Countryman S ALL4, a sporty MINI JCW Countryman S ALL4, and its electric vehicle MINI Countryman SE ALL4.
“Our presence in the 2024 GIIAS also strengthens BMW’s position as the leader in the premium vehicle and EV market in Indonesia. In 2023, we also distributed over 5,000 units, including 4,172 BMW and 891 MINI,” stated Nielsen.
