Heaptalk, Jakarta — Blu by BCA Digital recorded a net profit of Rp46.04 billion, approximately US$2.9 million (US$1 worth Rp15,721) in 2023. Customer growth reached 53.4%, currently amounting to 1.7 million customers.

In supporting to improvement of financial literacy and inclusion, Blu recorded the growth of Sobatblu’s literacy through the bluAcademy educational class initiative which has been attended by more than 3,500 participants. Of this number, almost 40% of participants said they had obtained the required financial literacy.
Sobatblu’s financial inclusion grew by 3x
In 2023, sobatblu’s financial inclusion grew more than threefold compared to the previous year. The total transaction frequency reached 73.7 million times (YTD) and the total transaction volume was Rp181.9 trillion. This increment in volume can also be seen from the hike in transaction activity, spanning transfer transactions which rose 215%, payments using QRIS which grew more than 367%, and e-money top-up transactions which grew 282%.
According to Yoga, this increase in overall growth is supported by the presence of various new products and features, including the launch of the bluDebit Card as well as the collaboration of bluInvest with Moduit and FUNDtastic. There is also a bluInsurance feature in collaboration with BCA Life and bluBisnis support for business transactions.
Apart from that, Yoga said that Blu has also expanded its digital ecosystem and in-app payment services to facilitate financial transactions from partner apps without leaving the app. One of the services is the collaboration of blUnion with multiple partners from diverse industrial sectors, for example, paying for gold investment needs with EmasKita, food and beverage (FnB) with Fore and Kopi Kenangan, as well as education in collaboration with ITHB, UPH, and Talenta Archipelago. Blu also collaborates with a vehicle credit payment partner, BAF (Bussan Auto Finance). This collaboration accommodates all payments only by linking your Blu account with each partner application.
