Heaptalk, Jakarta — A pioneer of technology education in Indonesia, Bina Nusantara (Binus) and its education service unit, Sokrates, have collaborated with managed services provider Hypernet Technologies to present technology-based education solutions to improve the educational sector.
In this collaboration, Hypernet Technologies will provide the network infrastructure of Sokrates Apps, Sokrates’s learning management system which has been adopted by 300 schools across Indonesia.
Education Services Director of Bina Nusantara, Gintoro, stated, “Bina Nusantara and Sokrates have appointed Hypernet Technology to provide advanced network infrastructure in order to answer educational world challenges, and, at present, Hypernet Technologies has integrated its infrastructure in more than 100 schools.”

In order to overcome these issues, Hypernet provides a stable internet network and manages the internet network use that is adjusted to the needs. Moreover, this technology company also conducts preventive action to restrict internet access that does not relate to the learning process, protects the network from cyberattacks, and supports PC and wireless communication for learning activities in classes and laboratories. As a result, Sokrates and Hypernet Technologies have contributed to about nine million digital talents in Indonesia.

Based on Hypernet Technologies research, around 71% of parents tend to choose a school that adopts a technology-based approach and 95.5% of parents consider that technology infrastructure is a critical asset that should be employed by the school. Aligned with this result, 82% of parents conveyed that technology will influence their decision to choose a school for their children in the level of “middle to high”, and even 14% of parent considered that IT facilities and infrastructure is the main factor to choose a school.
