Heaptalk, Jakarta — Ice cream manufacturer in Indonesia, Aice, announced its participation as the official ice cream of the Indonesian team at the Paris Olympics 2024 on Tuesday (06/25).
Previously, Aice had signed a collaboration with the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Indonesia in Jakarta. This step reaffirms the company’s commitment to supporting the development and progress of Indonesian sports in achieving global-scale achievements. The collaboration with NOC is part of Aice’s long-term social support roadmap for the Indonesian community in promoting healthy lifestyle trends.
Jason Liu, Vice President of Aice Group Marketing Management Center, explained that the partnership between Aice and NOC Indonesia is an essential part of Aice’s commitment to positively contribute to the country and Indonesian society, particularly in supporting the development and progress of national sports.
In more detail, this support will be realized through campaigns before, during, and after the Olympics for the Indonesian team, which consists of 21 athletes from 9 sports branches. Jason believes there is a philosophical alignment between Aice and the athletes, which lies in their commitment to being the nation’s pride and spreading happiness to all Indonesians.
“We are proud to collaborate with NOC Indonesia. We believe this collaboration will positively impact the development of sports in Indonesia. Through this partnership, Aice will continue to support the athletes representing Indonesia at the Paris 2024 Olympics. This is a celebration for Aice and all Indonesians. Through the 2024 Olympics, ‘Aice for Indonesians’ is committed to showcasing Indonesia to more countries to deepen their understanding of our nation. Let’s bring our proud athletes together to the international stage,” Jason emphasized.
Through collaboration with Team Indonesia, the company also involves various parties, including resellers across Indonesia, to support and spread the spirit of the red-and-white team preparing to compete. Jason added, “This collaboration involves athletes and former athletes and embraces endorsers and all Aice retailers throughout Indonesia. We are confident that Indonesia’s support for the national team will be very enthusiastic. This action reflects Aice’s strong intention to support Team Indonesia and spread the spirit of sports to all Indonesians.”
Wijaya Noeradi, Secretary General of NOC Indonesia, welcomed their collaboration with Aice. “We greatly appreciate the support provided by Aice to Indonesian athletes in upholding Indonesia’s good name on the world stage. The shared vision and mission between Aice and NOC Indonesia in positively contributing to advancing sports in Indonesia are examples of effective multi-stakeholder sports collaborations. Aice’s support will certainly motivate Indonesian athletes to strive and give their best for Indonesia at the Paris Olympics this year. Support for sports should be by design and system to motivate the private sector to provide support, not solely driven by situational or personal interest, as Aice has done,” Wijaya stated.
This strategic collaboration was positively responded to by Eko Yuli Irawan, a national weightlifting athlete who will also compete at the Paris Olympics 2024. He expressed that the support from Aice adds to their spirit and motivation to give their best for Indonesia. “The support from Aice is significant for us athletes, including personally for me. The collaboration between Aice and NOC Indonesia surely motivates me and other athletes to do our best and bring home medals for Indonesia,” said Eko confidently.
Greysia Polii, former Indonesian badminton athlete and Executive Committee member of NOC Indonesia, who won the gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, also expressed her appreciation. “I am proud and happy to see Aice join NOC Indonesia in supporting Indonesian athletes. Based on my experience as an athlete who has competed in the Olympics, I believe that support from various parties like this will make a significant difference in the performance of athletes, both in preparation and during international competitions,” Greysia concluded.
