Heaptalk, Jakarta — Commemorating the 24th anniversary of West Kutai Regency, Regent FX Yapan invited people outside the regency to visit the Dahau Festival which will be held from October 23 to November 5, 2023.
Dahau comes from the words dangai and ehau which means a form of gratitude and joy in cultural celebrations. Various competitions and cultural arts performances will be held at this festival to commemorate the anniversary of the West Kutai Regency. The Dahau Festival is one of the tourism sector agendas prepared by the regency government to welcome the new capital city Nusantara (IKN).
“The festival will start on October 23 with the peak event on November 5. Enjoy the natural beauty of the tourist and culinary attractions and watch the entire series of Dahau Festival activities this year,” said FX Yapan at the Ngapeh Talkshow at TVRI East Kalimantan Samarinda (10/16).
According to Yapan, this festival shows the richness and pride of West Kutai in its ancestral heritage. This cultural event is an attraction for tourists who want to know the traditions and culture of the Dayak tribe.
