Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Tangerang Regency recognized companies at the Corporate Awards 2024 event at the Aryaduta Hotel in Kelapa Dua District.
“This event is a strategic measure to create harmonious, dynamic, and equitable industrial relations for companies that implement labor practices based on the regulations,” Rudi Hartono, Head of the Tangerang Regency Manpower Office, said.
Rudi further explained that the agenda is one of the government’s attempts to reduce the high level of industrial relations disruptions in the region. This event also aims to boost the company’s awareness of labor regulations.
“The awarding aims to build awareness and legal compliance among companies, which is expected to create harmonious, dynamic, and equitable industrial relations,” he said.
For this reason, these awards are devoted to companies domiciled in the regency in the categories of large, medium, and small enterprises. The assessment is based on several criteria, including appropriate wage structure and scale, worker welfare facilities, establishing Bipartite Cooperation Institutions (LKS), and compliance with other labor regulations.
“The assessment is carried out objectively, transparently, and comprehensively, involving an assessment team from the Ministry of Manpower, the BAnten Provincial Manpower and Transmigration Office, historians, and Tangerang Regency Manpower Officer officials,” Rudi voiced.
According to data, since the beginning of this initiative, there has been a significant reduction in industrial relations disruptions, layoffs, and strikes or work stoppages. The recording of industrial relations disruptions has also decreased by 33% in the last three years, while layoffs have dropped by 57.7% over the previous two years.
In addition, the number of companies establishing LKS Bipartite has increased by 233.08% since 2023. This shows increased awareness and compliance of companies with labor regulations, ultimately helping to resolve internal issues between employers and employees. Through the Corporate Awards event, Rudi hopes that industrial relations in Tangerang Regency will become more harmonious, dynamic, and equitable, in line with the values of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution. This is also expected to create a conducive and fair labor climate for other regions.
“Our highest expectation for the future is that industrial relations in Tangerang Regency can run harmoniously, dynamically, and equitably,” He said.
