Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Tangerang Regency Government, through the Department of Agriculture and Food Security (DPKP), has distributed agricultural machinery (Alsintan) assistance in the form of water pumps and two-wheeled tractors to farmer groups in Tangerang Regency.
This facility, sourced from the state budget (APBN), aims to increase the planted area (Pati) and rice paddy production in Tangerang Regency for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024.
The Regional Secretary of Tangerang Regency, Moch. Maesyal Rasyid symbolically carried out the agricultural machinery distribution at the Agricultural Extension UPTD, Curug District, on Monday (27/05).
The Regional Secretary stated that the Alsintan assistance is part of the government’s efforts to help farmers improve rice paddy productivity. “With this Alsintan assistance, we hope that farmers will discover it more quickly to cultivate their rice fields, thereby increasing their rice harvest,” he voiced.
He advised farmers to make the best use of the Alsintan assistance. “I hope the farmers will take care of and use this machinery well, which is expected to be beneficial for the long term,” he added.
The Head of DPKP Tangerang Regency, Asep Jatnika Sutrisna, explained that the Alsintan assistance was given to farmer groups in 13 districts in Tangerang Regency. These include the districts of Kronjo, Cisoka, Solear, Mekarbaru, Gunungkaler, Sindangjaya, Mauk, Cikupa, Rajeg, Jayanti, Sukamulya, Pakuhaji, and Sukadiri.
The equipment distributed includes ten two-wheeled tractors, 28 irrigation pumps (IRPom), 21 3-inch water pumps, four 4-inch water pumps, seven 6-inch water pumps, and 28 3-inch water pumps in brigades.
He looks forward to this Alsintan assistance, which can help farmers save time and effort in cultivating their rice fields, thereby increasing efficiency and productivity.
“This assistance is handed over to the farmer groups, except for the 28 units of 3-inch water pumps in brigade form. DPKP will manage these pumps and will be lent to farmers as needed,” he concluded.
