Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Acting Governor of Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra), Andap Budhi Revianto, reported the performance achievements of Q3 2024 to the Evaluator Team of the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), held at the Rupatama on the 8th floor of the Itjen Kemendagri Building.
The performance evaluation session was led by the Inspector General of the Ministry’s Inspector General, Tomsi Tohir, along with an evaluation team of officials within Itjen Kemendagri. During the session, Andap highlighted ten priority indicators out of the total of 106 requested by the Ministry. These ten priority programs included inflation, stunting, Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD), public services, unemployment, extreme poverty, health, budget absorption, flagship activities, and licensing.
In his opening remarks, Acting Governor Andap mentioned the accolade received by the Southeast Sulawesi Provincial Government as the best TPID (Regional Inflation Control Team) in controlling inflation, awarded by the President on Friday (14/06). He reported the inflation rates in Sultra since he assumed office. Inflation in Sultra has shown a declining trend, placing the region among the top ten provinces with the lowest inflation rates in Indonesia.
“Inflation in Sultra is on a downward trend and remains below the national average. In May, we managed to rank among the top 10 provinces with the lowest inflation in Indonesia,” he explained.
Additionally, the Price Development Index (IPH) in Sultra for four consecutive weeks in May showed the lowest and weakest figures nationally for four consecutive successive weeks in May. In the health sector, the stunting rate in Sultra has demonstrated the lowest figures nationally for four consecutive weeks in May. “The stunting rate in the province is currently at 10.2% (previously 10.5%), below the national rate of 14%, according to e-PPGBM. We are also continuously striving to reduce TB mortality rates to below the target of 5%. This reflects our commitment to improving healthcare services in Sultra,” he added.
Andap also highlighted the efforts of the Sultra Provincial Government to facilitate specialist medical education through scholarships and enhance the quality of medical human resources in the region.
“We provide scholarships to specialist doctors as a concrete step to improve the quality of medical human resources in Sultra. Those who receive the scholarships will be brought back to serve in Sultra,” he stated.
Furthermore, the Acting Governor outlined various flagship activities and innovations implemented during his tenure up to Q3. Efforts to enhance discipline and employee training were carried out through Monday assemblies, along with improvements to the merit system and digitization of administrative correspondence.
Andap also emphasized the importance of fulfilling the people’s constitutional rights through appropriate budget policies, legislation, and adequate supervision.
“We are committed to fulfilling the constitutional rights of the people of Southeast Sulawesi through targeted and transparent policies. Additionally, Regional Regulation No. 3 of 2024 on a precision-based village and sub-district governance system has been established to obtain accurate data,” stressed the Acting Governor.
In response to the presentation by the Acting Governor, the Inspector General of Kemendagri expressed appreciation and positive feedback regarding the Acting Governor of Sultra’s performance. The Inspector General noted that the achievements of the Sultra Provincial Government showed significant improvements and could serve as an example for other provinces in Indonesia.
“As we can see, Andap’s performance achievements show significant progress. Various accolades have also been received, which is very beneficial for the advancement of Sultra Province. We appreciate your work in Sultra. Additionally, there are some evaluations regarding budget absorption realization, acceleration of public service SOPs, and follow-up on written warnings concerning LKPD (Regional Government Financial Reports) in Southeast Sulawesi,” he added.
