Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Sports and Art Events (Porseni) officially opened at Sports Arena Kudungga, Sangatta. In this agenda, the East Kutai’s Regent, Ardiansyah Sulaiman, inaugurated the opening of this sports and arts event devoted to the teachers in East Kutai, also a member of the Republic of Indonesia Teachers Association (PGRI).
In his opening remarks, Ardiansyah revealed this event is appropriate for enhancing the health quality of society in East Kutai, specifically for teachers who have contributed to providing knowledge to students.
“By conducting this sports agenda, I urge overall teachers in the district to maintain their health through exercise,” Ardiansyah affirmed.
He said around 800 PGRI representatives from each sub-district participated in the sports and arts event from Monday (10/30) to Friday (11/3).
“We should be grateful because the district government is re-holding National Sports of PGRI, which is part of the preparations for Teacher’s Day in 2023. With this sports event, we look forward to fostering teacher creativity and producing energetic, healthy, cheerful, and creative teachers. Not only that, this event also creates a bond of friendship between fellow teachers.” added Regent Ardiansyah.
The Chairman of Sports and Arts Event (Porseni) Committee at East Kutai, Adi Harianto, revealed that participant can compete their ability in multiple sports. As is well known, this year’s sports events will include Badminton, Table Tennis, Sepak Takraw, volleyball, and stickball.
Meanwhile, for art, the organizers present several branches of art that will be contested, such as Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ), the art of reading newspapers, contemporary calligraphy, solo vocal, dancing, painting, martial arts, and best learning.
