Heaptalk, Jakarta — President Prabowo Subianto chaired the Full Cabinet Meeting of the Red and White Cabinet at the Cabinet Meeting Room, Presidential Palace in Jakarta, on Friday (03/21). This meeting specifically discussed several strategic steps in anticipation of Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijriah, including food stability, and evaluated the government’s achievements during the first 150 days of the cabinet’s term.

In his opening remarks, President Prabowo expressed his appreciation for the performance of all ministers, deputy ministers, and heads of agencies within the Red and White Cabinet. The President noted that although his cabinet is relatively new, inter-ministerial cooperation has been solid.

“I would like to thank all the Ministers and Vice Ministers of the Red and White Cabinet for their hard work. As a relatively new cabinet, in our first 130-140, or 150 days, we naturally needed some time to adjust. However, I feel there has been good cooperation and swift, intensive, and dedicated work from all of you,” Prabowo said.

Ahead of Eid al-Fitr, Prabowo assured that national food stability is maintained and that the government is closely monitoring the prices of essential goods. He also stated that the prices of strategic commodities such as rice, cooking oil, and meat have remained stable. Even the cost of chili peppers, which had previously risen, has declined.

Prabowo emphasized, “Our food condition is safe. Our food situation is under control. Ladies and gentlemen, this should not be taken lightly. We are the fourth-largest country in the world. Our population is enormous. And for years, we have always been concerned about our food security.”

In front of his cabinet members, Prabowo also highlighted several priority programs that have been implemented in recent months, including the free nutritious meal program, which has now reached 2 million beneficiaries across all provinces. He urged the relevant officials to accelerate the program’s coverage to ensure it reaches all regions, given the high level of public enthusiasm.

“We can now take pride in the fact that the free nutritious meal program has reached 38 provinces and now benefits 2 million people. However, this still does not fully satisfy me. But I understand that the Head of the National Nutrition Agency and his team have been working hard,” he said.

Additionally, Prabowo highlighted the launch of the Danantara Investment Management Agency, a significant step in consolidating national assets and economic strength. Furthermore, the free health check-up program for all citizens has officially begun. He added, “This is also a groundbreaking initiative, perhaps even globally. Not all countries have programs like this.”

In anticipation of the Eid homecoming (mudik) season, the President stated that the government has prepared various policies to assist the public, including the distribution of Holiday Allowances (THR), discounted transportation tickets, and free homecoming programs. The President also appreciated the government and private sector collaboration in reducing airplane ticket prices by 13%, offering a 20% discount on toll fees, and lowering train ticket prices by 25%. “With these measures, I hope the preparations for the homecoming season are carried out effectively,” Prabowo concluded.
