Heaptalk, Jakarta — Public Service Malls (Mal Pelayanan Publik – MPP) have grown by 22 following a soft launch by the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB), Abdullah Azwar Anas. Adding these Public Service Malls is expected to motivate other regions to continue integrating their services through them.
“A total of 208 physical Public Service Malls has been established, and we hope this number will continue to rise. Today, 22 more physical Public Service Malls will be symbolically inaugurated together,” said Anas during the ‘Gebyar Pelayanan Prima’ event.
The 22 new malls include: MPP Pematangsiantar City, MPP Rokan Hulu Regency, MPP Padang Panjang City, MPP Solok City, MPP Solok Regency, MPP Dharmasraya Regency, MPP Sungai Penuh City, MPP South Bengkulu Regency, MPP East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, MPP West Pesisir Regency, MPP Pringsewu Regency, MPP Central Bangka Regency, MPP Depok City, MPP Pekalongan City, MPP Landak Regency, MPP Temanggung Regency, MPP North Lombok Regency, MPP East Lombok Regency, MPP West Sumbawa Regency, MPP Bulukumba Regency, MPP Baubau City, and MPP North Bolaang Mongodow Regency.
Minister Anas explained that there are four integrated service ecosystems. The first includes direct service, where the public can receive services directly, such as at MPPs. Then, there are mobile services, such as providing services using vehicles. The other ecosystems include self-service and electronic service.
“The President also hopes for mobile services, like mobile service vehicles. If integrated between government agencies, it would be extraordinary, like in Azerbaijan where buses are circulating, and even trains that stop in certain areas to provide services,” Anas remarked.
Furthermore, the PANRB Ministry continues to promote digital services through Digital MPPs, which are now accessible in 199 districts/cities. This decision was formalized by the PANRB Minister’s Decree No. 457/2024 regarding implementing the National Digital Public Service Mall.
MPPs have had a positive impact on business ease, such as speeding up the licensing process, improving service quality, reducing costs and time, enhancing efficiency and transparency, and increasing business competitiveness. It’s worth noting that Vice President Ma’ruf Amin launched Digital Public Service Malls on June 20, 2023. In collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Home Affairs, licensing for healthcare workers and population services are integrated into Digital Public Service Malls.
