Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) continues accelerating public access to services by developing the Digital Public Service Mall (MPP). The Digital MPP is currently available for Android Android users to download on the Play Store.
“With the availability of the Digital MPP on the PlayStore, we aim to simplify for the public to access public services within the palm of their hand,” conveyed Deputy Assistant for Public Service Digital Transformation at the Ministry of PANRB, Yanuar Ahmad, during the Progress and Socialization Plan Meeting for the Digital MPP Implementation in Jakarta on Wednesday. (05/22)
He said that digitalizing public services is expected to speed up service delivery, simplify various processes, and make services accessible through multiple electronic media for all levels of society. The government must provide different platforms for the public according to their needs.
Currently, services accessible via Digital MPP include healthcare licensing services in collaboration with the Ministry of Health through integrating the Health Human Resources Information System (SISDMK), optimizing business processes and minimizing the need for citizens to upload data. Another service is the Online Public Aspiration and Complaint Service (LAPOR!).
Yanuar also reassured the audience of the Ministry of PANRB’s unwavering commitment to enhancing the Digital MPP. He highlighted ongoing efforts, such as the application for ISO 27001 certification and discussions on policy revisions. This commitment aims to ensure the Digital MPP remains a reliable and efficient platform for accessing public services.
According to him, digitalization does not replace one service ecosystem with another but rather strengthens and simplifies processes so that the public can access services most feasibly according to their needs, whether through direct services, mobile services, self-services, or electronic services.
Furthermore, the benefit of the Digital MPP for public services is that the public only needs to install one application to access regional government services. Data integration and sharing also minimize the process of uploading data or documents. The Digital MPP helps save on development and maintenance costs for local governments by utilizing shared applications.
The transformation of public services in the health sector has resulted in an award from the Ministry of Health. Recently, the Ministry of PANRB received an award for Efforts to Support the Transformation of Health Human Resources (SDMK), being the Most Supportive Ministry/Agency in Implementing Medical and Health Worker Licensing through Digital MPP.
Meanwhile, Senior Expert Staff of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) Yusuf Hakim Gumilang shared an optimistic vision for the future of this digital system. He acknowledged the current focus on healthcare services but expressed the need for broader coverage, including basic services such as education, tourism licensing, cooperatives, and MSMEs. This expansion is set to bring even more convenience and accessibility to the public.
“It is commendable that we have possessed this system that can be used more widely. Continuous socialization is necessary so more people are aware and can use it. We can learn from any shortcomings to develop a more robust and reliable Digital MPP system,” he concluded.
