Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Ministry of Trade organized the Mall-to-Mall Exhibition 2024 to promote Indonesian micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), particularly from the Banten Province. The event aims to introduce and strengthen domestic products.

The Mall-to-Mall Exhibition 2024 is a collaboration between the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Investment, the Banten Provincial Government, and the Indonesian Shopping Center Management Association (APPBI). Moga Simatupang, Director General of Domestic Trade at the Ministry of Trade, stated that by showcasing the leading MSME products, the general public would become familiar with and be more inclined to purchase them.

“We want to introduce leading MSME products to the public so they become interested in buying them. This effort can boost the people’s economy, which drives national economic growth,” said Moga at Summarecon Mall Serpong, Tangerang, Banten, on Friday (09/27).

Moga also mentioned that the exhibition lasted four days, from September 26 to 29, 2024. The event featured 28 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from Banten Province, showcasing their top products, including crafts, fashion, and packaged food.

He encouraged MSMEs to continue improving their capacity through innovation, particularly in design and color. This will help MSMEs expand their market reach. He said, “The potential of our MSME products is great. Therefore, we need to encourage continuous innovation so MSMEs become more attractive. Innovations in design and color selection can help expand MSME markets.”

Moga urged the public to take more pride in locally-made products. “Let’s be proud, let’s buy. Using Indonesian products will strengthen our economy,” he added.

Meanwhile, Krisna Ariza, Director of Domestic Product Utilization and Marketing at the Ministry of Trade, revealed that the Mall-to-Mall Exhibition is part of the ministry’s efforts to support MSMEs in upgrading their businesses. The initiative also aims to expand MSME marketing access through shopping centers. “The Ministry of Trade supports the National Movement for Pride in Indonesian Products 2024 in Banten Province. This is part of our efforts to foster MSMEs in Banten Province. We aim to help Banten’s MSMEs upgrade their businesses and expand their marketing reach through shopping malls,” said Krisna.

Krisna added that this event seeks to boost the marketing of potential MSME products from Banten by connecting MSMEs with potential markets through the Mall-to-Mall Exhibition and making these products more widely known to the public.

“We hope this event will benefit MSMEs in Banten Province by increasing sales and promoting their leading products. We also hope that the potential of Banten’s MSMEs will become more recognized and purchased by tourists, especially locals,” Krisna concluded.
