Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Mahakam Ulu Regency Government, East Kalimantan Province, held a presentation on the Report of the Master Plan Study for Land Transportation Networks and Road Traffic and Transport (LLAJ) in the Bappelitbangda Meeting Room some time ago. The Mahulu Regency Transportation Agency initiated this activity in collaboration with the National Institute of Technology Malang through the Research and Community Service Institute.
In his opening remarks, acting regional secretary Solman, representing the Regent of Mahakam Ulu, Bonifasius Belawan Geh, explained that the Road Traffic and Transport Network (LLAJ) is a crucial component of the infrastructure that supports the growth and development of a region’s economy.
Well-designed transportation infrastructure directly correlates with increased community mobility, acceleration of economic activities, and overall quality of life. An efficient and structured LLAJ will enhance the region’s competitiveness at both regional and national levels as an entity that connects various centers of economic, social, and cultural activities.
Solman said, “Therefore, in line with this commitment, the Mahulu Regency Government is strongly determined to improve the quality and capacity of the LLAJ continuously. I am also committed to realizing mature spatial and transportation planning as the key to sustainable and forward-looking development in Mahulu.”
“I hope we can obtain an interactive digital map that the public can access from this activity. This map will display visualizations of transportation data, infrastructure facilities, and future transportation needs projections. This interactive map will serve as the basis for drafting comprehensive and sustainable spatial and transportation plans,” Solman concluded.
