Heaptalk, Jakarta — Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono revealed several obstacles causing 2,086 hectares of land ownership status in the Nusantara Capital or IKN to remain unresolved. One of the main issues is that residents still occupy some of the land.
To address this, the Nusantara Capital Authority, or OIKN, is offering an answer through the Social Impact Handling Scheme (PSDK). Acting Deputy Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority, Raja Juli Antoni, explained that the scheme varies depending on the situation.
“It depends on the area, as each home has its own complexities. Some will be relocated and provided with new houses or apartments. For plantations, compensation might include replacing the crops or providing new plantations. The scheme is tailored to the specific conditions and cannot be generalized,” Raja explained.
Meanwhile, the Acting Head of Nusantara Capital Authority, Basuki Hadimuljono, stated that the program does not require presidential regulation. Previously, Basuki mentioned the need for two presidential regulations regarding land issues in Nusantara Capital: one for PDSK Plus on 2,086 hectares of land and another for legal certainty of land in Nusantara Capital. “God willing, without a presidential regulation, the existing legal tools are sufficient to proceed,” he said.
Basuki further expressed his readiness to resolve the land acquisition issue for 2,086 hectares in IKN. Land problems in IKN had previously frustrated the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan.
“It turns out that, according to Raja, the resolution as Deputy Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning requires a presidential regulation. Two regulations are needed: a presidential regulation for acquiring 2,086 hectares with PDSK Plus. PDSK covers only crop compensation, while the ‘plus’ includes renovations and building houses, depending on negotiations with the community,” he concluded.
