Apart from abundant food, Jokowi perceived that agriculture and plantations also produce fuel in the form of biodiesel, bioethanol, etc. Hence, he called multiple parties to realize sustainable food product security.
Indonesia’s superiority in the agricultural field
Jokowi delivered that the archipelago has superiority in the fertile land and abundant natural resources landscape, with the number of people entering productive age reaching 30% in the agricultural sector. Besides, he claimed that the country also possessed supporting infrastructure and an adequate ecosystem, such as road infrastructure irrigation, including irrigation roads and ports.
“This potential can be developed further for the welfare of small-scale agriculture to large-scale food storage and pre-plantation, with the support of funding and high technology transfer to fulfill the global demand. I look forward to collaboration and investment in the agricultural sector, specifically for products that produce more environmentally friendly energy.” Jokowi said in his statement.
