Heaptalk, Jakarta — Indonesia’s President, Joko ‘Jokowi‘ Widodo, leads a gala dinner agenda for multiple country leaders and delegates participating in the Archipelagic and Island States (AIS) Forum Summit 2023, at Nusa Dua, Bali.

During the agenda, President Jokowi said that the AIS Forum Summit 2023 aims to strengthen cooperation between island and archipelagic countries. He conveyed these island countries have something in common: living alongside the ocean.

“The ocean is our life, the sea is the unity of humanity, and the ocean provides many resources that we must manage responsibly. For this reason, allow us to welcome you through our friendly efforts.” Jokowi added.

Regarding the dishes served, this dinner agenda provides a variety of traditional Indonesian dishes, which were re-mixed by Indonesian Chef Vindex Tengker and Made Putra. This dish served adjusts the conference theme, Fostering Collaboration, Enabling Innovation for our Ocean and our Future, which represents Indonesia’s natural diversity, particularly its marine products.

In more detail, as an appetizer dish, this dinner agenda provides Javanese sweet marinated Tempe from Yogyakarta and Prawn Lettuce with spicy spices typical of North Sumatra, Andaliman. On the other hand, Attendees were also provided three types of main dishes, such as wagyu beef with Balinese spices complemented by typical Balinese Lawar vegetables. Besides, Professional chefs prepared a standard North Sulawesi menu for the dessert dish: Young Coconut Pudding and Bunaken Koral, a coconut cake decorated with various fruits.

Apart from presenting the best dishes, this dinner agenda also features various best songs that represent the richness of Indonesia, with different themes: Collaboration and Innovation through Challenges, Archipelagic Countries’ Richness in Culture, Love Our Ocean, and Prosperous Future.

Prosperous future is the closing theme of the series of entertainment events. This theme describes the hopes and aspirations of island and archipelagic countries to work together to achieve prosperity. By showcasing the archipelago’s natural beauty, Jokowi looks forward to the delegates staying longer in Indonesia.
