Heaptalk, Doha – Indonesia’s Minister of Public Housing and Settlements (PKP), Maruarar Sirait, accompanied President Prabowo Subianto at the Indonesia-Qatar CEO Forum held on Sunday, April 13, 2025. The forum is aimed at boosting Qatari investment in Indonesia’s housing sector, particularly in support of the government’s ambitious 3 Million Homes Program.
“In the CEO Forum, we discussed several investment opportunities in the housing sector,” said Minister Maruara Sirait. The event was initiated by the Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), Anindya Bakrie.
Minister Ara was joined by key Indonesian figures including Head of the Housing Task Force Hashim Djojohadikusumo, Investment Minister Rosan Roeslani, Minister of Culture Fadli Zon, and business leaders such as Patrick Waluyo.
The Minister reiterated the government’s readiness to carry out President Prabowo’s directive to provide housing, particularly for low-income communities (MBR), with incentives and land prepared for urban development.
Previously, on January 8, 2025, Minister Sirait signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qilaa International Group from Qatar, represented by Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al Thani, to develop one million housing units for low-income Indonesians. The signing, held at the State Palace in Jakarta, was witnessed by President Prabowo and attended by several top government officials.
“This investment shows the strong international trust in President Prabowo’s leadership,” said Sirait, thanking the Housing Task Force for its strategic role.
