Driving the implementation of digital policy
Regarding the implementation of the agreement, Usman also invited industry representatives to this activity. In his view, the presence of industry representatives in this agenda is critical as they are the actors that will concretely implement the policy.
Usman delivered that each country has different conditions and characteristics, thus each country has different regulations. Despite this distinction, Indonesia can harmonize the regulations, adopting the most appropriate regulation for Indonesia to enhance its implementation.
“With this agreement, we hope Indonesia will not only become a consumer of technology but also a producer of technology,” he said. In this meeting, Indonesia’s Delegation was led by Usman Kansong, while the German delegation was led by Director General Digital and Data Policy Benjamin Brake.
