Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Depok City Government, in collaboration with the Greater Jakarta Transportation Management Agency (BPTJ) and the Ministry of Transportation, continues to strengthen its partnership to introduce the new BISKITA Trans Depok service using the Buy The Service (BTS) scheme. The service is expected to start operating as quickly as possible.
Acting Head of BPTJ of Transportation Ministry, Tatan Rustandi, emphasized the importance of synergy between central and local governments in realizing adequate integrated transportation for the community.
“We highly appreciate this good collaboration with the Depok City Government. The support from the Mayor and his team is critical in the socialization and preparation process of this new service,” He said after testing the BISKITA Trans Depok along with the Mayor of Depok, Mohammad Idris, on Monday (07/08).

Furthermore, he stated that the BISKITA Trans Depok service is expected to reduce the use of private cars and motorcycles by providing an integrated transportation alternative between LRT and buses.
“We hope for a shift from using private cars and motorcycles to the bus service that we have prepared. Today, we focus on socializing within the government. Next, we will involve the general public and students to ensure that all parties are aware and set to utilize this service,” Tatan explained.
He appreciated the Mayor of Depok, Mohammad Idris, and the team for actively participating in BISKITA’s socialization activities. Further, Tatan mentioned that the potential for this service is quite immense, considering that the Harjamukti LRT station in the Depok area already serves around 10,000 passengers daily.
He elaborated that the socialization of the BISKITA Trans Depok service is being carried out intensively by involving three main segments: the government, the general public, and students. Tatan hopes the solid collaboration between BPTJ, the Transportation Ministry, and the Depok City Government will ensure that the facility runs smoothly and significantly benefits society.
“A modern city characteristic must possess good transportation, and I strongly agree with the Mayor’s idea. Depok plans to provide about 4-5 corridors, aligned with the planning in Bogor and Bekasi, which are also continuing to develop. We look forward to this service being inaugurated by the Minister,” Tatan concluded.
