Heaptalk, Jakarta — Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo, accompanied by Deputy Minister Diana Kusumastuti and senior officials from the Ministry of Public Works, attended a working meeting on the 2025 State Budget with House Commission V at the MPR Building on Wednesday (05/07). One of the topics discussed was the additional budget in 2025.
Minister Dody announced on Monday (05/12) that House Commission V has approved an additional budget allocation for the Public Works Ministry in 2025, raising it to Rp73.76 trillion, approximately US$4.4 billion (US$1 equals Rp16,633).
“The additional budget unblocking is based on the Ministry of Finance’s Budget Revision Decree (SPRA), which states that the effective ceiling for the Public Works Ministry after the unblocking adjustment has increased from Rp50.48 trillion to Rp73.76 trillion,” Dody explained.
The Rp73.76 trillion budget will be allocated to: Fast-track priority programs (PHTC) for madrasah schools, road preservation (second semester) and rehabilitation, handling of critical-condition bridges (NK-4), infrastructure support for new autonomous regions in Papua, completion of committed multi-year contract (MYC) projects, and infrastructure development for the new capital city, Nusantara (IKN).
Following the adjustment, the effective ceilings for each division are as follows: Secretariat General Rp498.2 billion; Inspectorate General Rp81.2 billion; Directorate General of Water Resources Rp27.09 trillion; Directorate General of Highways Rp28.78 trillion; Directorate General of Human Settlements Rp11.18 trillion; Directorate General of Strategic Infrastructure Rp5.01 trillion; Directorate General of Construction Development Rp460.9 billion; Directorate General of Public Works Infrastructure Financing Rp87.8 billion; Regional Infrastructure Development Agency Rp296.3 billion; and Human Resources Development Agency Rp278.2 billion.
