Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Fakfak Regency Government officially launched the Wewowo Kampung mapping program to unlock the potential of each region. (07/01)
“The program is launched to declare a priority of supporting the sustainability of Fakfak Regency. We hope this program can actively involve traditional, religious youth, and women leaders, among others, to map out the key potentials of each village,” Fakfak’s Regional Secretary, Sulaiman Uswanas, said.
Further, the program aims to establish villages, prioritize activities that will be undertaken, and align the work agenda of the regional and village governments in an integrated development plan. Sulaiman emphasized the importance of enhancing village capacity by strengthening village bureaucracy governance based on the authority granted by the Special Autonomy Law and the Village Law.
Meanwhile, Greg Daeng, the social governance lead at Kaleka, explained that the program aims to ensure that the regional government’s work agenda can be maximally implemented in village areas.
“There are five villages that will be the pilot for this program. We want these villages to become the strongest base of the regional government. Synchronization and work roles in the village development agenda are crucial for managing village resources and supporting community welfare,” he explained.
The Wewowo Kampung Program is expected to encourage the active involvement of various community elements and map out each village’s critical potential, thus supporting sustainable development and the welfare of the Fakfak community.
