Heaptalk, Jakarta — The East Kutai Education and Culture Department officially launched a jingle entitled Magic Land during the 24th East Kutai Regency anniversary commemoration at Bukit Pelangi, Sangatta (10/12).

Jingle Magic Land by Asep Firmansyah, was performed beautifully by the young men and women of East Kutai. The jingle debut was accompanied by a colossal dance brought by 200 performers. “Thank God, the performance of the Magic Land jingle accompanied by a colossal dance went successfully and smoothly at the peak of the 24th East Kutai Anniversary,” said Head of the Culture Division of the East Kutai Education and Culture Department Padliyansyah.

According to him, the idea for making this jingle came from Regent Ardiansyah Sulaiman. Padliyansyah said, “He wants at the peak of the 24th East Kutai Anniversary, the jingle can be launched. This has been agreed by the Education and Culture Department by carrying out several sessions of training.”

Further, Padliyansyah is optimistic that the launch of this jingle will make folk songs better known to the people of East Kutai, East Kalimantan, and Indonesia. “Regent Ardiansyah Sulaiman said that East Kutai is called a magical land as this regency has enormous potential, both in the form of marine, land, and forest wealth. Likewise, the flora and fauna are diverse and not found in other regions,” explained Padliyansyah.

In addition to songs and dances, the launch of the jingle was also enlivened by a fashion show adopting the theme of Magic Land as a characteristic of East Kutai Regency. The fashion design features hornbill ornaments and trees depicting the nature of East Kutai.
