Based on the Ministry of State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform’s announcement, East Kutai’s SPBE rank increased by seven levels compared to 2021.

Heaptalk, Jakarta – Ministry of State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform announced the monitoring and evaluation result of the implementation of an Electronic Government System (SPBE) in central government and local government period 2022. The announcement put the spotlight on one of East Kalimantan’s regions, East Kutai, as the regency’s position climb up to the second position.

“From this evaluation, alhamdulillah, East Kutai ranked the second place out of 10 regencies/cities and East Kalimantan Province with an index score of 2.79, categorized as good implementation,” stated Head of the East Kutai Communication and Informatics Service, Encoding, and Statistics Department, Ery Mulyadi as reported by G-smart.id (2/3).

East Kutai’s rank moves sharply to the second position, passing 8 regencies/cities/provinces, including East Kutai Province, Kutai Kartanegara, Paser, West Kutai, Penajam Paser Utara, and Bontang. Meanwhile, the first position was clinched by Balikpapan. Ery Mulyadi perceived this attainment was incredible as the Regency previously was in the 9th position. East Kutai’s SPBE index in 2021 reportedly was only 1.03 and categorized as deficient.

Attaining this achievement, Ery delivered his gratitude to the Regent, Vice Regent, Regional Secretary, related departments, and district head for their support in embodying this realization.

For additional information, the index is obtained from the evaluation of SPBE’s implementation, which contains SPBE governance and SPBE management. For SPBE Governance, the stipulated framework is adopted to materialize integrated SPBE implementation. The framework consists of Masterplan and SPBE architecture, State Plan, Business Process, Data and Information, SPBE’s infrastructure, SPBE’s apps, and the platform’s security and service.

Furthermore, from the side of the management of SPBE, the evaluation considers several aspects, spanning Risk Management, Information Security Management, Data Management, IT Asset Management, Service Management, Knowledge Management, Alteration Management, Human Capital Management, and IT and Communication Audit.

Prior to this attainment, the Regency also won two categories in a national-scale awards, the Top Digital Awards 2022 from It Works Magazine last December 2022. Two categories includes Top Leader on Digital Implementation 2022 and Top Digital Implementation 2022.
