Heaptalk, Jakarta — Perceiving the role of digital transformation in providing excellent public services, East Kutai Regency Government reportedly allocate its Regency’s budget to expedite digitalization in the area.
According to the Regent of East Kutai, Ardiansyah, this commitment is evident from the Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) 2021 – 2026, mission 3, to realize essential services for the community proportionally and equitably, and mission 4 to create a participatory government based on law enforcement and information technology.
Regent Ardiansyah highlighted the role of the Merdeka Sinyal program as a proactive step in the digital transformation of East Kutai. This program, which provides ICT infrastructure through the internet access to all village offices, is a significant part of the region’s digital transformation efforts.
Additionally, the East Kutai Regency government, as explained by Ardiansyah Sulaiman, organizes Technical Guidance to enhance advanced Human Resources (HR).
Meanwhile, the Head of the Department of Communication, Informatics, Statistics and Coding (Diskominfo Staper), Ronny Bonar, Siburian, said that the event, which took place from July 3rd to 4th, 2024, was attended by 150 participants from village apparatus personnel.
He also mentioned that the event was to improve the village apparatus’s understanding and skills in managing internet networks. “We hope the bandwidth allocated to village offices can be used efficiently,” he said.
