Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Ministry of Communication and Informatics held a national coordination meeting for an Electronic-based Government System (SPBE), known as e-government system, on October 16-19, 2023 in Jakarta by inviting representatives of regional governments throughout Indonesia, including the East Kutai Regency Government, which was attended by the Head of the Communication and Informatics, Statistics and Encryption Department (Diskominfo Staper) Ery Mulyadi.
Regarding the results of the meeting, Ery explained three priorities as keys for accelerating the implementation of the e-government system outlined by the Deputy Minister of Communication and Informatics as well as the Director General of Population and Civil Registration. The three priorities include infrastructure, integration, and improving human resources.
Infrastructure is an essential factor in the success of SPBE implementation. “As we all know, infrastructure in East Kutai is quite inadequate. However, the Communication and Informatics Department will look for funding sources to build ICT infrastructure, both through 3T and non-3T programs,” Ery said on the sidelines of the national coordination meeting for SPBE in Jakarta (10/17).
Integration involves the systems used to facilitate the provision of services to the community. Meanwhile, increasing human resources is aimed at improving the capabilities of government officials and the community.
Ery voiced, “Increasing human resources is carried out by developing technology and information to facilitate services to the community. In this way, people will receive good services to assist their needs.”
E-government index in 2023 reaches 3.2 based on self-assessment
Recently, the East Kutai Regency Government through the Communication and Informatics Department has participated in the monitoring and evaluation of SPBE 2023. “Based on the self-assessment, we got an index of 3.2. This certainly shows an improvement compared to 2022, which is only 2.79,” said Ery.
In addition, Ery conveyed that several regional apparatuses already owned electronic signatures. Further, the rest of the regional apparatus will have the e-sign in stages, including the district heads.
Currently, the Department is planning to integrate community service applications into one application. “Now we are developing the system. East Kutai residents who want to obtain permits or other services can simply use one account which can access several government services, such as education, health, and permits,” concluded Ery.
